Earlier today, WB revealed a huge slate of upcoming DC films, among them was The Flash. With the reveal that the character will get his own solo film in 2018, and the llikelihood of the character first appearing in the upcoming JUSTICE LEAGUE,  Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara shocked everyone when they revealed that the crimson speedster will be played by actor Ezra Miller, best known for his work in the indie films We Need To Talk About Kevin and The Perks of Being A Wallflower.

Interestingly enough this isn’t the first time Ezra Miller’s name has come with a DC role in mind. Several months ago rumors began circling that WB/DC was eyeing the actor to play Nightwing in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. It seems those rumors were true about WB/DC looking at the actor for a role, they just got the wrong one.

While DC’s Flash is currently making waves and breaking records on its new TV show on The CW, DC has made it clear that the TV universe and the Cinematic one would indeed be separate, allowing filmmakers to not be limited by the other medium.
